Welcome To Our SIVLEization

SIVLE (Elvis spelled backwards) is a versatile Indie & Classic Pop-Rock band from Brantford Ontario Canada

an arsenal of legendary tunes from the 50s - Today -- as well as our own original songs.

SIVLE features Joan Minnery on Lead Vocals, Bill Minnery on Guitar/Bass/Vocals and Dan Taylor on Guitar/Piano/Vocals and Drums.  On occasion SIVLE welcomes Bob Minnery aka bigEZbob as a special guest on rhythm guitar.

While the SIVLE show can include electric guitar, drums, bass -- we've recently scaled down the show to be all acoustic

and it's going over very well, in particular for matinees and legions.

SIVLE formed in 2017 and since that time we have had the opportunity to be the opening act for the
2019 WTFest Rock Festival and be the featured entertainment at the 2019 Mayor's Levee at the Brantford Armouries.
We headlined the 2018 'FIND YOUR SPIRIT FEST’ and the 2018 'Downtown Music Fest' both at Harmony Square in Brantford. We have packed rooms at the Sanderson Centre, Corktown Pub, Delhi Harvest Fest, Jeffery’s Lounge,
Manny’s Place, Branch 90 Legion, Tansley's, Upper Thames Brewery, the Norfolk County Fair, the Polish Hall,
Frankies Hometown Tavern, the St. George Legion, the Honest Lawyer, the Dairy Capital Cheese Festival,
the Norwich Museum and have a heated schedule at a variety of festivals, fairs and local establishments.

If you're attending a SIVLE show -- you're going to hear a lot of ELVIS, Beatles, CCR, Janis, Johnny Cash as well as more recent hits rounding out the showcase. There is something for everyone and we love to see people dancing.
Our fellas are very Van Halen/Metallica influenced so there's always an edge to everything we do and we are very well known for adding our own unique spin --- the songs become SIVLEized!

We are overwhelmingly gobsmacked with the release of our three oringal singles

"Whatever It Takes," "What Would Walter Do," and "Throw Down Those Stones".

What ROCKtastic buzz they are creating on Indie Radio!!!

We are currently in rotation on stations from Germany, the U.K., Australia, the U.S., and Canada.

We released the tunes in August 2019 and February 2020 and holy frijoles what a fire storm.

We never saw this coming; as we are a 'cover' band. This all stemmed from us being selected

out of over 450 bands to play the 2019 WTFest Rock Festival, one of Ontario's Largest Music Festivals.

We garnered one of 5 spots on July 27th, 2019 and became the opening act.

The rest as they say is HERstory!!!

"What Would Walter Do" -- is our salute to Walter Gretzky , "Whatever It Takes" is our explosive Rock Anthem

and "Throw Down Those Stones" is our hard-hitting progressive rock tune.

All are now available on iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud and many other platforms*

We have also released two new singles in live version --- "Santa Gumbo" and "Dancing To Tom Petty"

both of which were debuted at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts on Friday December 20th, 2019

at the Gold Box -- Christmas Concert which SIVLE produced and directed with over 30 performers.

The event helped raise over $3000 for the Rosewood House Shelter for the Homeless.

Both new songs can be found on Soundcloud. We will be recording a full length album this upcoming June.

We have a very loyal following which we call our SIVLEization!!

Press & Fan Quotes:

Please be sure to check out his complete review on our band from BlogHoarder:

Daniel Hodgson - Blog Hoarder Journalist: "Shedding the skin of a cover band and showing their true colours, Sivle (Elvis spelled backward) from Brantford, Ontario is coming into their own while pushing the limits of indie rock. The vocal powerhouse Joan Minnery has the cadence and range of a Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine while keeping a style all her own. Her voice sounds like it was birthed on a Broadway stage there is such a theatrical beauty to it, yet there is an unmistakable rock element that adds the knife sharp edge to the arrangement. The strange beauty in this band comes from the versatility of each member making their true direction hard to pin point, which is one of the most exciting aspects to this group. I can hear the ticking of the time bomb that is about to blast Sivle over the radio waves and anyone in the blast radius will have an earful of inspirational rock. This band is a spider that dips each of its legs into a sound and then spins them all together in a unique and gripping web that you don’t want to escape from."

Another Awesome Review From Music Journalist Snail Puddings:

“Every once in a while a group of artists come together and make something absolutely beautiful to the point that it's almost surreal. Sivle has shown me to be one of those collectives. Described as soft-rock, there is a lot more to hear than the mellow guitar tunes. Their music raised my spirits after a long and difficult weekend. The video above is from the track Throw Down Those Stones, which is the first song I started with. It kicks off with a nice distortion riff that leads into the marching drums and then Joan hits the mic to tie this rock ballad up into a beautiful gift.Next on the playlist is Whatever It Takes. This song is another hit from their collection, with righteous guitar leads, and a bit of bluesy rhythm. Joan does a wonderful job holding each note as she sings out Whatever It Takes, you can feel that she really believes that. There is an amazing solo waiting for you about three minutes in. The final song I want to leave you with is called Dancing To Tom Petty. If you weren't already impressed with Sivle's grasp of classic rock sounds then this song will drill it right in. Sivle really hit home with this song, everyone can relate to this song. It captures that feeling you get when you just want to hear that special song. Then when you do you turn it up and play it loud! If you feel like dancing? Do it!”

"As always -- SIVLE is a must see live! You can't see the energy this band gives off until you see them live. They connect with their fans and our energy feeds their energy.  If you only see their show once,  you have to return to a number of shows to witness the change from show to show, its an absolute delight! While contemplating SIVLE, I couldn’t help but think of the Grateful Dead who were one of the early pioneers of direct relationships with their live show fans and renown for fusing many different styles together. SIVLE is the Grateful ALIVE.” ~ Ken Shipman, Brantford ON

"What a range of talent and genres! From Elvis to Van Halen they have it all. Perfect harmony, teeth shattering guitar solos and heart pounding drum solos! An excellent group of very talented people and awesome performers/musicians. The power in Joan's voice is undeniable as is the music accompaniment by Bill & Brad. From Elvis to Robert Plant--a wide variety of music was played and the quality of the music and the energy of the band are superb.” ~ Nancy Sherwood, Woodstock ON

“The standard of musicianship was fantastic, unleashing their full charge of extraordinary talent. Their fiery performance hit the audience roaring with committed versions of songs people wanted to hear. Transformed in time, this band captivated the swaying crowd with their exuberant enthusiasm, explosive energy & vocals that propelled the show to epic levels."

~ Anna Fornella, Brantford Ontario
